Whiplash is the injury that happens when your head snaps forward and back in a crash, straining the ligaments and joints of the neck. It often does not hurt for a day or two, which is exactly why people skip getting checked. In Florida you have 14 days after an accident to be seen or you can lose your PIP benefits.

How long after a car accident should I see a chiropractor?

Yes. Whiplash commonly shows up 24 to 72 hours later. Getting checked also puts your injury on the record while the 14-day window is still open.
