What we collect on this website
When you chat with Ava, text us, call us, or book online, we collect only what is needed to hold an appointment: your first name, your mobile number, your email if you give one, whether your visit is for everyday pain or a car accident, the date of the accident if there was one, and one short line about where it hurts.
We do not ask for your date of birth, Social Security number, insurance ID numbers, home address, medications, or medical history through this website, by chat, or by text. The office collects that in person, on paper or in the practice's clinical records system.
Chats, texts, and phone calls
Our assistant Ava answers the chat on this site, our text messages, and our phone line. Those conversations are kept as text and are processed by companies that work for us under contract, which we use only to run this practice:
- a website hosting provider, which runs the site and its servers;
- a database provider, which stores leads, appointments, and conversation text;
- an artificial intelligence provider, which generates Ava's replies;
- a phone and voice provider, which answers and routes calls;
- a text messaging provider, which sends and receives SMS; and
- an email provider, which sends appointment confirmations and reminders.
Before your first chat message, we show you a notice and you have to tap “Start chat” to continue. We record the time you did that alongside the conversation. Phone calls are turned into a written transcript and a short summary; we do not keep an audio recording of your call. We do not sell any of this, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Cookies and tracking
Essential cookies only, unless you tell us otherwise. Those keep the site working and remember the cookie choice you make below. They are not used to track you across other websites.
Anything else is off until you accept it: we have no analytics, advertising, or social media trackers on this site today, and if we add any, they will load only after you choose “Accept” in the cookie notice. Embedded video from a third party and our map behave the same way. The map on our contact and location pages is an image we host ourselves, so nothing is requested from Google unless you click through to it.
You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie choices” link in the footer of every page. Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie for twelve months. Clearing your browser's cookies clears it, and we will ask again.
Where visits come from
We record which page, phone number, campaign tag (such as a utm_source in a link you clicked), or ad click brought you here, and we keep it on your record so we know what is working. This is our own first-party record. We do not use it to build an advertising profile about you, and it is not shared with ad networks.
How long we keep it
Appointment records and the contact details attached to them are kept for as long as you are a patient of the practice and afterwards for as long as Florida law requires medical and business records to be kept. Conversation transcripts are trimmed automatically so only the most recent part of a thread is retained. Anything we are not required to keep is deleted when you ask us to.
Your choices
You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, except where we are required to keep clinical or billing records. Notice of privacy practices
Once you become a patient, the practice's HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices governs your protected health information. You receive a copy at your first visit and can ask for one at the office anytime. What you send us through this website before that, such as a chat about scheduling, is an appointment request rather than a clinical record.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will ask for your cookie choice again.
